Jacksonville has been very quiet in free agency; their overall roster talent has declined, and with an unideal salary cap situation, they don\u2019t have many avenues to make a big splash this offseason. The most effective way to add a game-changer may very well be through a trade-up in the draft.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">On the other hand, trading back is almost never a bad idea. We\u2019ve all heard by now that the draft is a crapshoot and requires more luck than anyone would care to admit. A sharp strategy is to accumulate many draft picks so you have more \u201cswings at the plate,\u201d thus, more opportunities to hit on picks. This method could fancy the Jaguars in 2026, considering they\u2019re still trying to reload draft capital after the Travis Hunter trade.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Of course, there\u2019s always the option to not move the pick and stay at No. 56. Several draft analysts, including NFL Network\u2019s Daniel Jeremiah, have commented on the relative strength of the \u201cmiddle class\u201d of the 2026 draft.
