\u201cI\u2019ve learned from a very young age to pretend that I like stuff, to pretend that I\u2019m happy, to pretend that I don\u2019t like stuff that I do, to appear like everything is OK,\u201d Doja Cat said in a TikTok video shared Friday. \u201cI\u2019ll get it done. And it caught up with me, and I think it always does for people. I\u2019m now struggling with BPD.\u201d<\/p>\n
The rapper added that she\u2019s been dealing with the disorder for \u201cprobably forever,\u201d describing it as an \u201cagonising condition.\u201d<\/p>\n
Borderline personality disorder is a mental health condition that can often cause extreme emotions and impulsiveness, according to the Mayo Clinic.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve been in therapy for years now, and I am so relieved and so proud of myself,\u201d she shared. \u201cI\u2019ve made it so far and I still make mistakes, but it is an eight-year process of curing, treatment, and healing.\u201d<\/p>\n
Doja made the comments while praising singer Chappell Roan. She emphasised that while she is \u201cnot diagnosing Chappell Roan with BPD,\u201d she understands why her fellow performer can sometimes appear \u201cuncomfortable\u201d on the red carpet.<\/p>\n
Roan has been seen scolding paparazzi on several occasions, oftentimes calling them out for being disrespectful and invasive.<\/p>\n
\u201cI love that she can be uncomfortable comfortably in front of people and protect herself,\u201d she continued. \u201cI had to learn how to be honest with myself.
