Happy Thursday, <\/strong><\/p>\n Like so many others, I cheered loudly on Sunday when Michael B. Jordan took home the Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance in \u201cSinners.\u201d In my opinion, that film should\u2019ve taken home Best Picture \u2014 it was my favorite of the year.\u00a0<\/p>\n If you enjoyed \u201cSinners\u201d as much as I did, you have an opportunity to hear two musicians who contributed to its score perform in Fort Worth this Saturday at the African American Roots Music Festival.\u00a0<\/p>\n The festival has become a favorite for its mission on spotlighting how Black artists shaped American music. I spoke with event founder Brandi Waller-Pace about the event\u2019s impact during its 5th birthday last year<\/a>.<\/p>\n Musical contributors to \u2018Sinners\u2019 perform in Fort Worth<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Artists Justin Robinson and Jake Blount are among the headliners for this year\u2019s festival.
