{"id":668138,"date":"2026-03-20T02:15:11","date_gmt":"2026-03-20T02:15:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/668138\/"},"modified":"2026-03-20T02:15:11","modified_gmt":"2026-03-20T02:15:11","slug":"19-kids-countings-joseph-duggar-arrested-on-child-sex-abuse-charges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/668138\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8217;19 Kids &#038; Counting&#8217;s Joseph Duggar Arrested On Child Sex Abuse Charges"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tJoseph Duggar, who was featured on <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/tlc\/\" id=\"auto-tag_tlc\" data-tag=\"tlc\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">TLC<\/a>\u2018s 19 Kids and Counting and its spinoff series <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/counting-on\/\" id=\"auto-tag_counting-on\" data-tag=\"counting-on\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Counting On<\/a>, has been arrested following sexual abuse claims.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe arrest happened Wednesday after an investigation was opened following a 14-year-old victim claiming she was abused by the former reality star when she was 9 years old.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tAccording to a statement from the Bay County Sheriff\u2019s Office in Florida, the 31-year-old Duggar was charged with lewd and lascivious behavior involving unlawful sexual activity with a minor.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cOn March 18, 2026, Bay County investigators were contacted by a detective with the Tontitown Police Department regarding a report of past sexual abuse,\u201d read the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/BayCountySO\/photos\/bcso-charges-arkansas-man-for-lewd-and-lascivious-conduct-with-a-minor-the-bay-c\/1526420288841229\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Facebook<\/a> post. \u201cThe 14-year-old victim participated in a forensic interview, where she disclosed several incidents involving Duggar that occurred during a family vacation in Panama City Beach when she was 9-years-old.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tBased on the investigation, the victim claimed, \u201cDuggar repeatedly asked her to sit on his lap. As the vacation continued, he also asked her to sit next to him on a couch and covered them with a blanket. During this time, Duggar manipulated the victim\u2019s underwear and grazed her genitals. Duggar would also continue to rub his hands on her thighs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe victim said that Duggar apologized for his actions, and the incidents stopped following the apology. Furthermore, authorities said Duggar admitted to the incident to his father and the police after being confronted March 17.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tDuggar was featured on 19 Kids and Counting, a TLC series that aired from 2008 through 2015, following the lives of Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar and their 19 children. The series was canceled after accusations surrounding Duggar\u2019s brother, Josh, came up. TLC spun off the show into Counting On, which aired from 2015-2021, when it was <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2021\/06\/counting-on-canceled-tlc-josh-duggar-trial-1234783758\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">canceled ahead of Josh\u2019s child pornography trial<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tJosh Duggar was accused of abusing underage girls, including four of his sisters.
