The Fashion Industry Gallery<\/a> (FIG) and the Dallas Art Fair are staying put.<\/p>\n

FIG Enterprises, Inc. has extended its 75,000-square-foot lease with Hunt Consolidated, Inc. at 1807 Ross Ave., said John Sughrue, founder of FIG and CEO of Brook Partners, Inc.<\/p>\n

The deal locks the gallery and the Dallas Art Fair into the Arts District property through 2033.<\/p>\n

FIG\u2019s occupancy at 1807 Ross Ave. dates back more than 23 years. The property serves as a premier site for fashion designers in the world of women\u2019s apparel and accessories. The professional wholesale venue is open five times a year for trade show events.<\/p>\n

The Dallas Art Fair<\/a> has called the site home for nearly two decades. The event brings thousands of visitors to downtown \u2015 including designers, collectors, galleries, buyers and audiences from across the country and abroad.<\/p>\n

Sughrue said FIG has expanded four times during its stay in the building, and the gallery would take more space at the property if it became available.<\/p>\n

Downtown Dallas, he said, is \u201cthe center of the creative communities in North Texas.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cDowntown has been very good to the Fashion Industry Gallery. Our designers and buyers love the location,\u201d Sughrue said.<\/p>\n

Mike Wallace, president of investment management and development for Hunt Realty Investments, said in a statement that he was pleased Sughrue and the venue aren\u2019t going anywhere.<\/p>\n
