Norwich police arrested two men wanted for murder in New York.<\/p>\n
They arrested 19-year-old Zion Martinez after having an interaction with him on March 4. During the interaction, officers learned Martinez had two warrants for his arrest, including one charging him with second-degree murder in connection with a fatal shooting in Bronx, New York on February 11.<\/p>\n
Police took Martinez into custody and charged him with fugitive from justice, possession of a controlled substance, and interfering with an officer.<\/p>\n
Norwich police reached out to the NYPD about having Martinez in custody and were told a second suspect in the shooting was likely in Norwich with Martinez.<\/p>\n
After an investigation, police determined the second man, 19-year-old Anthony Caballero, was in Norwich.<\/p>\n
On Friday, police from a number agencies carried out an arrest operation at an address on Clairmont Avenue in Norwich and took Caballero into custody.<\/p>\n
Caballero was charged with fugitive from justice and interfering with an officer.
