Chuck Norris got the shock of his life in 1991 when he found out he fathered a child during an affair.<\/p>\n
The late actor<\/a> cheated on his first wife, Dianne Holechek, with another unnamed woman, which resulted in the birth of Norris\u2019 daughter, Dina, in 1964.<\/p>\n Norris had no idea Dina, now 62, existed for the next 26 years, until she reached out to her famous father.<\/p>\n Chuck Norris welcomed his daughter Dina (both are pictured above in Hawaii in 2015) during an affair while he was married to his first wife, Dianne Holechek. Getty Images<\/p>\n \u201cI was going through my mail at home and I see this letter and I open it up,\u201d Norris recalled in a 2004 interview with Entertainment Tonight.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s from Dina \u2026 and she says, \u2018I\u2019m your daughter from a past experience,\u2019 and she said, \u2018I found out you were my father when I was 16, but my mother said you were married and we shouldn\u2019t interfere with your family.’\u201d<\/p>\n In his 2004 memoir, \u201cAgainst All Odds: My Story,\u201d<\/a> Norris said that he read the letter to his mother, who agreed to meet with Dina first, per the Daily Mail.<\/a><\/p>\n And after they did so at her home, Norris\u2019 mom called up her son and told him to come over immediately.<\/p>\n \u201cI walked into the living room and nearly had my breath knocked out of me,\u201d Norris wrote in his book.<\/p>\n Dina reached out to her dad (pictured above with Holechek in 1978) in a letter and told him who she was. Instagram\/chucknorris<\/p>\n \u201cThere, standing before me, was a beautiful young lady,\u201d he said about Dina. \u201cI was stunned, but the moment I saw her, I knew. I didn\u2019t need DNA or blood tests; there was no doubt in my mind that she was my daughter.\u201d<\/p>\n Norris added that after the pair hugged and started crying, he felt \u201cas if I had known her all of her life.\u201d<\/p>\n After their first encounter, Norris and Dina forged an extremely close relationship. <\/p>\n \u201cI am blessed to have her as my daughter,\u201d he penned in the memoir. \u2018Certainly, I know now that God does not condone premarital or extramarital sexual relationships. Chuck Norris\/Facebook<\/p>\n Norris (seen above with Gena and their kids Dakota and Danilee) said that he felt like he knew Dina \u201call of her life.\u201d Chuck Norris\/Instagram<\/p>\n Three years before he heard from Dina, Norris split from Holecheck after 30 years of marriage. The exes had two sons together: Mike, now 63, and Eric, now 60.<\/p>\n Norris wrote in his book that Dina decided to reach out to him after learning he was divorced.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was then that she decided to write to me with the approval of her husband, Damien,\u201d the martial artist shared.<\/p>\n Dina is still married to Damien, with whom he shares three children. <\/p>\n They all appeared in one of Norris\u2019 Facebook photos<\/a> from a 2015 family vacation to Hawaii.<\/p>\n \u201cHere\u2019s another family photo from Kauai. This time with our daughter Dina, her husband Damien and their boys Dante & Eli,\u201d Norris captioned the post.<\/p>\n Norris (pictured above with his family at \u201cThe Expendables 2\u201d premiere in 2012) formed a close bond with Dina right after they met. Instagram\/chucknorris<\/p>\n In 1998, Norris married his second wife, Gena O\u2019Kelley,\u00a0with whom he welcomed twins Dakota and Danilee, now 24.<\/p>\n The twins each shared tributes <\/a>to the Hollywood star after he suddenly died on Thursday at age 86.<\/p>\n Dakota wrote on Instagram<\/a> that he looked up to Norris his \u201cwhole life.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cYour generosity, your kindness, your courage, your integrity, your strength, your discipline, and your faith in the Lord were just a handful of things I always admired about you,\u201d Dakota said.<\/p>\n Norris\u2019 daughter Danilee (both pictured above) shared a tribute to her dad after his passing. d.ani.lee\/Instagram<\/p>\n So did Norris\u2019 son Dakota (pictured above), who said that he looked up to his dad his \u201cwhole life.\u201d d.ak.ot.a\/Instagram<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Danilee called her \u201csweet father\u201d her \u201cprotector,\u201d and admitted that \u201closing a parent is something that you are never prepared for.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cMy dad loved so deeply and cared for every single person in his life with so much tenderness,\u201d she wrote in her tribute.<\/a><\/p>\n Norris\u2019 family announced on Friday that he died the previous morning after suffering a medical emergency<\/a> in Hawaii.<\/p>\n \u201cTo the world, he was a martial artist, actor, and a symbol of strength. To us, he was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, an incredible brother, and the heart of our family.\u201d<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t
