PORT JERVIS \u2013 Greenlight Networks, a fiber-to-the-home high-speed internet provider, is bringing its service to the City of Port Jervis, the company announced. The first homes are expected to be connected this August.<\/p>\n
Greenlight\u2019s service is currently available in the Village of Goshen and Town of Wallkill and expects to service the City of Middletown in the next 12 months.<\/p>\n
Greenlight Networks is an important infrastructure expansion in Port Jervis, Mayor Dominic Cicalese said. \u201cReliable, high-speed internet is critical not only for residents and businesses, but also for public safety and city operations.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re focusing on reaching more communities that have been underserved for far too long,\u201d said company CEO Mark Murphy.<\/p>\n
In Port, the network will initially focus on downtown and surrounding areas through the Fowler, Grand and Orange areas including neighborhoods from West Main Street to Owen Street and up to Canal and Ryan Street.<\/p>\n
