\n\tNintendo<\/a> and Sony\u2019s live-action \u201cLegend of Zelda<\/a>\u201d movie has unveiled its Zelda and Link. <\/p>\n

\n\tIn a social media post on Wednesday, Nintendo\u2019s Shigeru Miyamoto revealed that Bo Bragason<\/a> will be playing Zelda with Benjamin Evan Ainsworth<\/a> as Link, alongside what seems to be first-look photos of the actors in costume.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI am pleased to announce that for the live-action film of \u2018The Legend of Zelda,\u2019 Zelda will be played by Bo Bragason-san, and Link by Benjamin Evan Ainsworth-san,\u201d reads the post on Nintendo\u2019s official account. \u201cI am very much looking forward to seeing both of them on the big screen.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tEnglish actor Bragason is known for her roles in the BBC One series \u201cThree Girls\u201d and \u201cThe Jetty,\u201d as well as Disney+\u2019s \u201cRenegade Nell.\u201d Last year, she starred in Euros Lyn\u2019s vampire comedy film \u201cThe Radleys.\u201d Ainsworth, who is also English, was the voice of Pinocchio in Robert Zemeckis\u2019 live-action \u201cPinocchio\u201d and played Miles in the Netflix series \u201cThe Haunting of Bly Manor.\u201d He also stars in the Canadian comedy series \u201cSon of a Critch\u201d and appeared in an episode of Netflix\u2019s \u201cThe Sandman.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe Legend of Zelda\u201d is scheduled to debut in theaters on May 7, 2027. Last month, the film was moved from its original March 2027 date \u201cfor production reasons,\u201d Miyamoto said at the time.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe live-action adaptation of the beloved video game is being directed by \u201cThe Maze Runner\u201d and \u201cKingdom of the Planet of the Apes\u201d helmer Wes Ball. Miyamoto and Avi Arad are producing. <\/p>\n

\n\tAfter Nintendo\u2019s \u201cSuper Mario Bros. Movie\u201d proved to be a massive hit for Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment, all eyes are on \u201cThe Legend of Zelda\u201d to see if it can be the same sort of box office smash for Sony.<\/p>\n
