CHICAGO (WLS) — There was a mixed verdict Thursday for a man accused of hitting four people<\/a> with an SUV on the city’s Northwest Side in 2022.<\/p>\n

A judge found Renato Salazar guilty of leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident involving personal injuries. He was found not guilty of <\/a>attempted murder, aggravated battery causing great bodily harm, aggravated battery\/use of a deadly weapon and aggravated assault with a motor vehicle.<\/p>\n

Salazar got into an argument with a group in the 6500-block of West Fullerton Avenue in Montclare on Sept. 10, 2022, police said.<\/p>\n

They were seriously injured after Salazar hit them and drove away, officials previously said.<\/p>\n

Salazar was arrested months later in 2023.<\/p>\n

He’s due back in court May 7.<\/p>\n
