{"id":67244,"date":"2025-07-16T12:49:09","date_gmt":"2025-07-16T12:49:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/67244\/"},"modified":"2025-07-16T12:49:09","modified_gmt":"2025-07-16T12:49:09","slug":"new-virtual-reality-arcade-brings-something-new-to-the-triad","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/67244\/","title":{"rendered":"New virtual reality arcade brings something new to the Triad"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tYou can soon escape the city of Winston-Salem without even having to leave.Winston-Salem&#8217;s new virtual reality arcade, called Ctrl V, will be opening its doors in less than two weeks.WXII got a peek inside at the more than 150 games available, as the countdown to the doors opening nears.&#8221;It&#8217;s a different experience, and it&#8217;s virtual,&#8221; said CTRL V owner and operator Larry Stowe.  &#8220;So we are using the full technology to take you somewhere else.&#8221;Winston-Salem&#8217;s first-ever virtual reality arcade will soon be transporting people in the Piedmont Triad to somewhere completely new and different without ever having to leave.&#8221;If you&#8217;re a horror fan, you&#8217;re in the right place,&#8221; Stowe said.  &#8220;You are going to feel like you&#8217;re in the room with the ghosts.&#8221;There are around 150 different games to choose from \u2014 ranging from job simulators to games involving pets, and everything in between.&#8221;Games where you can play 17 people,&#8221; said Stowe.  &#8220;So, you can include your grandma all the way down to your youngest child.&#8221;A ribbon-cutting ceremony took place Tuesday with local leaders, celebrating the launch of the new, fun and innovative space.&#8221;It&#8217;s something to do that we can all gather at and have fun together,&#8221; Stowe said.  &#8220;It&#8217;s all about having fun together and experiencing technology and learning something new also.&#8221;The new establishment has plans to host enrichment centers and really take virtual reality to the next level, providing a place for people to just come have fun and learn.&#8221;To have all 17 stations full \u2014 everyone yelling and screaming and having fun and playing with your family and friends,&#8221; Stowe said.CTRL V will officially be open for business on July 26.
