The city also has a large share of high-end apartments, consistent job growth, a large park system and excellent schools. <\/p>\n<p>D-FW Real Estate News<\/p>\n<p class=\"dmnc_features-cta-social-cta-social-module__zWZy- mb-4\">Get the latest real estate news you need to know.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">The average apartment size in McKinney was 948 square feet \u2014 the second-highest on the list.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">RentCafe called McKinney an \u201cideal choice for renters seeking a small-town atmosphere without sacrificing the perks of a larger urban center.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">\u201cAltogether, McKinney strikes the perfect balance between affordability and suburban comfort, thereby earning its place as the best city for renters in 2025,\u201d the report reads.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Other D-FW cities that made the top 50 include:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"body-text-list\">\n<li>Plano (11)<\/li>\n<li>Denton (33)<\/li>\n<li>Fort Worth (38)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Dallas came in at 57. Other Texas cities in the top 10 include Austin (4) and Round Rock (8).<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">McKinney\u2019s population is nearly 228,000, according to the latest U.S. Census estimates.
