It was written by Nora Garrett. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAccording to its synopsis, \u201cAfter the Hunt\u201d follows a college professor (Roberts) who \u201cfinds herself at a personal and professional crossroad when a star student (Edebiri) levels an accusation against one of her colleagues (Garfield), threatening to expose a dark secret from her own past.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe tense trailer opens with Garfield\u2019s character, Hank, laying into Gen Z. \u201cAll your generation, you\u2019re scared of saying the wrong thing,\u201d he says. \u201cWhen did offending someone become the preeminent cardinal sin?\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cMaybe it\u2019s around the same time your generation started making sweeping generalizations about ours?\u201d Edebiri\u2019s Maggie fires back.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe trailer hints at both Hank and Maggie\u2019s separate obsessions with Roberts\u2019 professor, before taking a turn when Maggie shows up at her door in haggard state. She confides in Roberts\u2019 character that Hank has sexually assaulted her, while he claims that she\u2019s been cheating in class. The accusations culminate in a fiery scandal. \u201cIt\u2019s just like, amazing to me that a young Black woman can get assaulted and all these white people find a way to make it about themselves,\u201d Edebiri\u2019s Maggie says in the trailer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cAfter the Hunt\u201d was produced by Guadagnino, Brian Grazer, Jeb Brody and Allan Mandelbaum.
