Taylor Swift\u2019s dad, Scott Swift, is recovering from major heart surgery.<\/p>\n
Scott, 73, underwent quintuple bypass surgery over a month ago, a rep for the pop superstar told TMZ<\/a> Wednesday.<\/p>\n Taylor, 35, her brother, Austin Swift, 33, and Scott\u2019s wife of 37 years, Andrea Swift, 67, were by his side from the operation through the recovery process.<\/p>\n Taylor Swift\u2019s dad, Scott Swift, is recovering from major heart surgery. Getty Images for ACM<\/p>\n Scott is doing well and feeling fantastic, according to his daughter\u2019s rep, who made sure to note that the procedure was not the result of a heart attack.<\/p>\n During a quintuple bypass surgery, a surgeon uses healthy blood vessels from other part\u2019s of the patient\u2019s body to create five new pathways (bypasses) for blood flow around blocked coronary arteries in the heart.<\/p>\n Taylor, who has stayed out of the spotlight for most of this year, was last seen out<\/a> earlier this month with her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.<\/p>\n Taylor, her brother, Austin Swift and Scott\u2019s wife of 37 years, Andrea Swift, were by the patriarch\u2019s side from the operation through the recovery process.
