The current wave of interest in Ethereum and related assets follows an announcement by\u00a0Robinhood<\/a> that it will\u00a0enable trading of tokenized U.S. stocks<\/a>\u00a0and ETFs across Europe, and a groundswell of interest in stablecoins throughout June following\u00a0Circle’s wildly successful IPO<\/a>\u00a0and ongoing progress in Congress on the Senate’s proposed stablecoin bill, the GENIUS Act.<\/p>\n The price of ether<\/a> itself also continued its rally, up more than 4% Wednesday. The coin has doubled in price in the past three months.<\/p>\n Thiel is a venture capitalist and hedge fund manager best known as a cofounder of both PayPal<\/a> and Palantir<\/a> and an early investor in Facebook<\/a>.
