{"id":67429,"date":"2025-07-16T14:26:13","date_gmt":"2025-07-16T14:26:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/67429\/"},"modified":"2025-07-16T14:26:13","modified_gmt":"2025-07-16T14:26:13","slug":"the-dish-tarrant-county-restaurants-raise-thousands-for-flood-relief","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/67429\/","title":{"rendered":"The Dish: Tarrant County restaurants raise thousands for flood relief"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Restaurants around Tarrant County have been fundraising and accepting donations to support relief efforts in Texas\u2019 Hill Country, where the death toll for the July 4 flash flood is now more than 130.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Many donated a percentage of their sales to nonprofits and programs like the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.communityfoundation.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country<\/a>\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/cftexashillcountry.fcsuite.com\/erp\/donate\/create\/fund?funit_id=4201\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kerr County Flood Relief Fund<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Here are a couple of the restaurants that have donated and others that are still accepting donations.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>With tons of restaurants around Tarrant County doing their part, this is not a complete list, so if you know of other places still fundraising or accepting donations, let us know at <a href=\"https:\/\/fortworthreport.org\/2025\/07\/16\/the-dish-tarrant-county-restaurants-raise-thousands-for-flood-relief\/mailto:hello@fortworthreport.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hello@fortworthreport.org<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Texas Roadhouse and others raise thousands in one day<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>July 9 saw many eateries and bars raise money for the Flood Relief Fund. After pledging to donate 100% of all DFW locations\u2019 July 9 sales, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.texasroadhouse.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Texas Roadhouse<\/a>\u2019s Burleson location raised about $34,000, according to a manager, while the Fort Worth location on Endicott Avenue raised around $2,200.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>5250 Endicott Ave., Fort Worth; 817-831-8811;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>12301 S. Freeway, Burleson; 817-945-5551<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>That same day, <a href=\"https:\/\/elpaseomex.com\/#\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">El Paseo Mexican Restaurant<\/a> set aside 50% of their revenue, and staff said they raised over $3,600 at their Fort Worth location and almost $4,700 at their Azle spot. This included dine-in and take-out orders, according to a social media <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/photo?fbid=1324351046360545&amp;set=a.509507647844893\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5436 Jacksboro Highway, Fort Worth; 817-625-9755;\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>100 W. Main St., Azle; 817-444-8811<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the brewery and kitchen <a href=\"https:\/\/secondrodeobrewing.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Second Rodeo Brewing<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/truckyard.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Truck Yard<\/a> beer garden and music venue also earmarked 100% of their profits for donations that day. Both share owners, and while they aren\u2019t publicizing their final fundraising total, Second Rodeo staff said they saw a significant increase in customers from their usual weekday business.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Second Rodeo Brewing: <\/strong>122 E. Donations go to the Flood Relief Fund.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2300 W. 7th St., Suite 120, Fort Worth; 682-285-1285<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In Bedford, July 17 is the last day for people to drop off trash bags, toiletries, canned food, bug spray, baby items and other products at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colossalsandwich.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Colossal Sandwich Shop<\/a>, which will take donations to Kerrville\u2019s Salvation Army on July 18.<\/p>\n<p>1220 Airport Freeway, Suite J, Bedford; 817-508-0123<\/p>\n<p><strong>La Bistro Italian Grill fills tables for fundraising campaign<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Two days into their four-day fundraising campaign, dinner service at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/labistrotx\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">La Bistro Italian Grill<\/a> in Hurst was fully booked up to July 10. Restaurant staff announced July 6 on social media they would donate 100% of their July 7-10 sales to relief efforts.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>722 Grapevine Highway, Hurst; 817-281-9333<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>James Provisions and Rex\u2019s Bar &amp; Grill among restaurants that offered multiday donation specials<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Other restaurants offered promotions for multiple days, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.james-provisions.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">James Provisions<\/a> in Hurst, which donated 10% of their July 9 and 10 proceeds to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.austinpetsalive.org\/?fbclid=IwY2xjawLdTFNleHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETFiZGN4N3BuNFVJamdPbHNUAR5w7WgSXyS-tTVkpAQrU4NcRs5h9Zm9jR8LkhkREMPtKkOT-5CONB1JrSaGHA_aem_Hlu1y3__R4mqeBG6MpatAQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Austin Pets Alive<\/a> and $1,000 to the Flood Relief Fund. Austin Pets Alive has provided shelter and reunification services for animals affected by the floods.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>290 Grapevine Highway, Hurst; 817-576-4323<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/rexsftw.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rex\u2019s Bar &amp; Grill<\/a> dedicated 20% of pizza sales July 7-11 to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.texsar.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Texas Search and Rescue<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salvationarmyusa.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Salvation Army<\/a> and the Flood Relief Fund.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>1501 S. University Drive, Fort Worth; 817-968-7397<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Four of Jon Bonell\u2019s Fort Worth spots \u2013\u2013 Jon\u2019s Grille, Buffalo Bros, Waters and Bonnell\u2019s Fine Texas Cuisine \u2013\u2013 offered to give 10% of all sales to the Flood Relief Fund, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gofundme.com\/f\/healing-for-camp-mystics-missing-girls\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mental health resources<\/a> for Camp Mystic evacuees and <a href=\"https:\/\/grapejuiceonline.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Grape Juice restaurant<\/a>.
