The NFL Draft is next month, but the Dallas Cowboys are among the teams being monitored this offseason closely, and the team could make several trades. The team has already traded two defensive tackles, Osa Odighizuwa<\/a> and Solomon Thomas, to gain draft capital, but they\u2019ve also made a few upgrades with the additions of Jalen Thompson, P.J. Locke and Cobie Durant in the air, while signing Otito Ogbonnia for depth and getting Rashan Gary via a trade. The Cowboys are far from done this offseason as Jerry Jones\u2019 focus is on defense<\/a>, and it wouldn\u2019t be surprising if he strikes a couple of deals for players that are already on rosters.<\/p>\n

Dallas has had a strong history of focusing their efforts towards the draft and always in \u201crebuild\u201d territory. While it paid off with a few gems like Dak Prescott, this team is no longer a roster that needs to be rebuilt. The team is a starting edge rusher, cornerback and defensive tackle from having one of the most stacked rosters in football. While there are a few gaps on offense, like the WR3 position and backup duties behind Javonte Williams, the Cowboys are better than imagined.<\/p>\n

However, Jones needs to make a few sacrifices if he truly wants to win a Super Bowl. It won\u2019t happen via getting players in the draft, but giving up a few picks to get talent looking for a new home.<\/p>\n

\n1. Keon Coleman, Buffalo Bills<\/p>\n

After the Bills made the blockbuster to acquire DJ Moore this free agency, it wouldn\u2019t be surprising to see the Bills trying to move on from Keon Coleman<\/a>. The receiver has been rumored to move on, as he hasn\u2019t been the ideal fit for Josh Allen\u2019s offense. Despite Coleman\u2019s issue, he likely needs a fresh start, and a team like the Cowboys could save him.<\/p>\n

Dallas won\u2019t give up a whole lot for Coleman. At best, the team will probably offer the extra third-round pick they received from the 49ers when they traded Odighizuwa. Coleman, George Pickens and CeeDee Lamb should be an exciting trio to see if this trade happens.<\/p>\n

2. Pete Werner, New Orleans Saints<\/p>\n

Linebacker Pete Werner is an interesting name to bring up. While the rumor has been between linebackers, Jordyn Brooks and Azeez Al-Shaair<\/a>, the Cowboys\u2019 trading for Werner makes it more manageable. Werner is a consistent tackler and is a solid starter, but he\u2019s had a few coverage issues. Dallas traded for Logan Wilson last offseason, so they could roll the dice again for linebacker insurance and get Werner a part of their group.<\/p>\n

It won\u2019t be perfect, but for a fifth-round pick in exchange for Werner sounds like a good deal.<\/p>\n

3. Maxx Crosby, Las Vegas Raiders<\/p>\n

The crown jewel trade that could still happen. The Cowboys were close behind the Baltimore Ravens in acquiring Maxx Crosby, but after the plans fell apart<\/a>, the defensive star is back in Las Vegas, for now. Crosby is staying in Las Vegas, but that probably won\u2019t happen after night 1 of the NFL Draft.
