(Ty Wright\/Bloomberg\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<p>Farmers are increasingly looking for ways to lower expenses and boost efficiency \u2014 changes that could eventually affect food prices for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/politics\/regulation\/consumers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">consumers<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Beef prices are already soaring, and economists warn Americans shouldn\u2019t expect relief anytime soon as the U.S. cattle herd has shrunk to its smallest size in 75 years.<\/p>\n<p>The decline has been driven by years of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/drought\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">drought<\/a>, rising costs and an aging ranching workforce.
