Funeral Service: 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2026, in Mount Olivet Chapel. Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2026, in the Sandburg Suite at Mount Olivet Chapel. David was born on July 1, 1966, in Fort Worth, he lived his entire life in the city he called home, filling it with laughter, love, and a warmth that made everyone feel like family. David married the love of his life, Mary Rodriguez, and together they shared 39 beautiful years of partnership, devotion, and joy. One of his proudest achievements was watching both of his children graduate high school and college, and seeing them begin to build their own life careers. But perhaps nothing brought him more happiness than playing with his granddaughter, Nevaeh, whom he loved beyond measure. Anyone who knew David knew his silliness, his contagious laughter, and those big bear hugs that could make any bad day better. He had a way of offering advice and wisdom at just the right moment, and he carried a respect for others that was impossible not to notice. Most of all, he had a heart so big that everyone who crossed his path could call it home. David was a devoted sports fan who loved his Dallas Cowboys, the Boston Celtics, and the Boston Red Sox with equal passion. When he wasn’t cheering on his teams, you could find him golfing with the boys, shooting pool, throwing darts, or catching one of his famous twice-a-day naps. David’s faith was an anchor in his life, and his family takes comfort in knowing he is now at peace in the arms of the Lord, reunited with those who went before him. He was preceded in death by his father, Margarito Rodriguez; mother, Isabel Saldana; brother, Charles Rodriguez; and daughter, Jessica Rodriguez. David is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Rodriguez; son, Michael Rodriguez and Tabitha Dirks; granddaughter, Nevaeh Rodriguez; sister, Rita Lankston; and brother, James Rios. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude for all the love and comfort they have received during this difficult time. It truly shows how much of an impact David had on everyone’s heart. MOUNT OLIVET CHAPEL Greenwood Funeral Homes – Cremation 2301 N.
