The Dallas Cowboys<\/a> and Jerry Jones are usually tight their their pocketbook and one of the less flashy teams with trades, but that didn\u2019t stop the Cowboys from being serious contenders<\/a> to get pass rusher Maxx Crosby<\/a> of the Las Vegas Raiders<\/a> to Texas during the NFL offseason. Adding Crosby to the Cowboys\u2019 lineup for the 2026-27 season would be a big move that would help beef up the team\u2019s defensive line, which is where they have roster holes.<\/p>\n The Cowboys were close to the Raiders in talks to acquire Crosby, but the edge was\u00a0traded to the Baltimore Ravens<\/a>. Of course, that deal went sour, and now, Crosby is back with the Raiders after failing his physical with the Ravens and says that he\u2019s a \u201cRaider for life.\u201d<\/p>\n But, now, even Crosby is admitting that he doesn\u2019t know if he\u2019s a Las Vegas Raider forever. As he\u2019s learned the hard way, anything is possible in the league, and just when you think things are set one way, they usually change to another.<\/p>\n So, Crosby\u2019s is making comments that may perk up the ears of the Cowboys again, if they want to make this trade happen. Plus, due to Crosby\u2019s failed physical with the Ravens, the Raiders probably won\u2019t get those two first-round picks that they were going to get from Baltimore. That gives Jones and the Dallas Cowboys even more reason to look into bringing the edge to Texas.<\/p>\n Maxx Crosby Trade: He May Not Be With the Las Vegas Raiders Forever<\/p>\n Crosby\u2019s failed physical may be a concern for the Dallas Cowboys, but he\u2019s simply not completely healed yet, and once he is, he\u2019ll be back to his solid self. During the 2025-26 <\/a>NFL<\/a>\u00a0regular season,\u00a0according to NFL research<\/a>, Crosby recorded 73 total tackles, 10 sacks, 28 tackles for loss and one interception.<\/p>\n Now, Crosby is saying things that show he doesn\u2019t know if his future is with the Raiders. On the Tuesday, March 17 episode of his podcast, \u201cThe Rush With Maxx Crosby,\u201d<\/a> he talked about his journey during the offseason. He described the week as \u201cprobably one of the most unique, crazy, wild, up-and-down roller coasters I\u2019ve ever been a part of.\u201d<\/p>\n Basically, after getting his physical and meeting with Baltimore, he had a strange feeling abotu it. He called his surgeon, explaining, \u201cHe\u2019s like, \u2018Your knee is great. You\u2019re exactly where you\u2019re supposed to be or even ahead of schedule.\u2019 He\u2019s like, \u2018You\u2019re doing everything right. They know you had your surgery nine weeks ago.’\u201d<\/p>\n Maxx Crosby Makes Telling Comments About His Future in the NFL<\/p>\n On his podcast, Crosby said that even though he believes that he\u2019s meant to be a Las Vegas Raider for life, he doesn\u2019t know anymore. \u201cUntil that changes \u2014 which I don\u2019t foresee. Honestly, you never know in this \u2026 league,\u201d he stated in a telling remark<\/a>. \u201cI found that out for sure. I just feel like I\u2019m meant to be a Raider.\u201d<\/p>\n He makes a point that things can change in an instant in the NFL. So, Crosby is admitting that \u201cyou never know\u201d in the NFL and that he \u201cfeels\u201d like he\u2019s a Raider.<\/p>\n If the Dallas Cowboys want to make a flashy move, they need to be listening.
