Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it is a meteor! <\/p>\n

Saturday, a massive meteor was spotted from North Texas to southeast Texas. <\/p>\n

Fireball spotted in Texas<\/p>\n

While the fireball was seen from all directions, the meteor exploded in the sky and landed on a home in northwest Harris County. <\/p>\n

Not only did it land, but it tore through the roof and parked in a bedroom! <\/p>\n

If you are up for a scavenger hunt, there could be more meteorites scattered across Houston.<\/p>\n

NASA is releasing this map of where the meteorites may be.<\/p>\n

Simplified estimate of where meteorites landed. Dark red is where 10kg meteorites landed IF they were produced, then 1kg (red), 100g (dark orange), 10g (light orange) and 1g (yellow).<\/p>\n

The colors represent the meteorites\u2019 weights. Dark red is where the meteorites weighed up to 22 pounds. The other colors indicate smaller meteorites.<\/p>\n

Neighborhoods in the path include Champion Forest, Cypresswood, Cypress Station, Bammel Road, and even to the edge of I-45.<\/p>\n

Let us know if you find a piece of the meteorite!<\/p>\n
