Nico Williams has spoken out about his decision to sign a new long-term contract<\/a> at Athletic Club and snub a move to Barcelona this summer.<\/p>\n

The Spain star had looked set for Barcelona, after asking his agent to talk to the club about a move, but ended up penning an extension instead in a shock development<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Williams has now been asked about his decision and says he wants to make history with the Basque side.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think we have a very long season ahead of us. We have very ambitious titles like the Champions League, which everyone would like to play in,\u201d he told reporters.<\/p>\n

\u201chat could be better than doing it with the club of my life? I would like to continue making history here at San Mam\u00e9s, with the fans, with my family, and with a lot of enthusiasm.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
