Some of our most dangerous moments happen simply from driving down the road. This week, we look at some trends in traffic collisions, and see where accidents are happening in your neighborhood. <\/p>\n
Collisions in San Diego<\/p>\n
First, a look at crash trends overall. Here\u2019s how car crashes break down by neighborhood, since the beginning of 2023. Downtown, Southeastern San Diego and City Heights have some of the largest numbers. <\/p>\n
Citywide, San Diego sees about 100 to 150 collisions each week. Here\u2019s a look at the trend since 2023. <\/p>\n
(Certain weeks in February and June 2024 show a notable decline in crashes, which may be a data anomaly. Officials with San Diego\u2019s data and police departments did not respond to repeated inquiries over the course of several weeks seeking an explanation for these declines.) <\/p>\n
Uptown crashes<\/p>\n
