The restaurant near Dallas Love Field hasn\u2019t been profitable since it opened.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Fearing owns two neighboring restaurants near Perch: Shinsei and Lovers Seafood and Market. I just need to give it more time.\u2019 But I can\u2019t keep investing in it. It\u2019s taking too long,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Unlike the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-news\/2026\/03\/12\/the-north-texas-bars-and-restaurants-that-have-closed-in-2026\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-news\/2026\/03\/12\/the-north-texas-bars-and-restaurants-that-have-closed-in-2026\/\">many restaurant closures<\/a> The Dallas Morning News has covered in the past few months, Perch did not suffer from surging ingredient prices or from rent woes, its owner said. Pizzas and pastas were comforting, like the prosciutto-and-pesto pie and a bowl of Bolognese pappardelle.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">The address has some deep Dallas restaurant history as the long-ago Riviera, once called \u201cone of the prettiest, most romantic settings in Dallas\u201d in a 2003 restaurant review. This space later became George and Fireside Pies, among others. Before Perch, this spot was Dea, an Italian restaurant Fearing owned <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-news\/2025\/06\/10\/3-dallas-restaurants-including-shinsei-swap-owners\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-news\/2025\/06\/10\/3-dallas-restaurants-including-shinsei-swap-owners\/\">with a former business partner<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Fearing said she\u2019ll invite all of Perch\u2019s employees to work at the other restaurants.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019m going to miss the people: my work family,\u201d Fearing said. \u201cAnd I\u2019m really going to miss the customers. And I\u2019m going to miss the food and the atmosphere. <\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019m going to miss everything about it. And that\u2019s why I hung on for so long. It\u2019s hard to let it go.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Perch Bistro and Bar is at 7709 Inwood Road, Dallas. Dinner only.
