Los Angeles County sheriff\u2019s officials asked for the public\u2019s help Tuesday in identifying suspects in a South Los Angeles shooting that left one man dead and four others wounded, with a $10,000 reward being offered.<\/p>\n
Authorities said Marvin Randolph, 48, an Inglewood resident, was killed in the April 5, 2025, shooting in the 11000 block of South Manhattan Place, near Lohengrin Street, in an unincorporated area of South Los Angeles.<\/p>\n
Deputies responding to the scene found five victims inside a garage, all suffering from gunshot wounds, authorities said.<\/p>\n
Randolph was pronounced dead at the scene, while three men and a woman were transported to a hospital in stable condition.<\/p>\n
\u201cDuring the investigation, detectives learned Marvin was attending his own birthday gathering at the residence,\u201d Lt. German Ochoa said Tuesday. \u201cWhile he was standing near the garage, a vehicle drove westbound past the home on Lohengrin Street. Four individuals exited an SUV armed with handguns and what appeared to be an assault-styled weapon.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ochoa said the suspects opened fire, striking Randolph and four other people inside the garage, then got back into the SUV and fled westbound.<\/p>\n
\u201cDetectives determined the SUV used in the shooting had been reported stolen earlier that same day from the surrounding neighborhood,\u201d Ochoa said. \u201cInvestigators have received numerous tips from the public and currently believe the shooting was gang-related.\u201d<\/p>\n
Authorities said Randolph appeared to be an innocent bystander in the shooting.<\/p>\n
Ochoa said surveillance video showed the suspects discarding what appeared to be firearms before fleeing, while another individual later retrieved the weapons and drove away.<\/p>\n
The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors has approved a $10,000 reward for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of those responsible for the killing.<\/p>\n
