But the list only included restaurants open by Oct. 31.<\/p>\n<p>That left out Dos Mares. And Nikuya Rooftop. Bud Kennedy                                                                            bud@star-telegram.com                                                                                        Dos Mares<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"Follow nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.star-telegram.com\/entertainment\/restaurants\/eats-beat\/article314615714.html\">Dos Mares<\/a> is the seafaring side of <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"Follow nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.donartemio.us\/\">Don Artemio<\/a>, with stunningly good steaks and seafood from both the Gulf and Pacific coasts and a flashy decor imported from Saltillo.<\/p>\n<p>Chef <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"Follow nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.donartemio.us\/team-member\/rodrigo-cardenas\/\">Rodrigo C\u00e1rdenas<\/a> gathered the best recipes from the two seas \u2014 \u201cdos mares\u201d \u2014 such as sea bass or snapper Veracruz, lobster racos, oysters and ceviches.<\/p>\n<p>Like Don Artemio, it has three completely different menus for dinner, lunch and brunch. Most of the lunch specials cost less than $20. Sunday brunch includes chilaquiles, shrimp birria or date pancakes.<\/p>\n<p>Do not overlook the \u201c30-hour\u201d flan for four. It\u2019s an all-timer; 3260 W. Ella Gonzales                                                                            egonzales@star-telegram.com                                                                                        Caf\u00e9 Mirador<\/p>\n<p>A few doors east of Dos Mares, <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"Follow nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.star-telegram.com\/entertainment\/restaurants\/article315115893.html\">Caf\u00e9 Mirador<\/a> is a tony new lunch cafe with an ambitious menu, all inside a fashion boutique.<\/p>\n<p>The orecchiette is already a favorite along with \u2014 this is Fort Worth, after all \u2014 the filet with salad, chevre, pears and candied pecans.<\/p>\n<p>The dessert menu claims a \u201cseis leches\u201d cake with chocolate, caramel, whipped cream and spiced crumble.<\/p>\n<p>On weekends, the brunch includes such items as a comt\u00e9 omelet with caviar, smoked salmon eggs Benedict or a lobster Cobb salad.<\/p>\n<p>Just look for the door marked \u201c3220\u201d; 3220 W. Courtesy of DRG Concepts                                                                                        Nikuya Rooftop<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"Follow nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.star-telegram.com\/entertainment\/restaurants\/eats-beat\/article312731686.html\">Nikuya Rooftop<\/a> restaurant on the 17th floor of the Sinclair hotel offers a sweeping view of Fort Worth, and elegant sushi offerings outside or inside a 16-seat, glassed-in dining counter.<\/p>\n<p>The menu offers crudos, appetizers, tuna tartare, nigiri, handrolls such as a \u201cRich Daddy\u201d with toro-truffle, and remarkable rolls such as the \u201cCowboy Kiss\u201d with salmon and yuzu, or the \u201cNikuya Cut\u201d with steak from the hotel\u2019s WIcked Butcher restaurant.<\/p>\n<p>The personable chef, Alvin Chik, has worked in heralded Uchiko Plano along with San Francisco restaurants.<\/p>\n<p>Take the middle elevator from the Sinclair lobby using the \u201cRoof\u201d button; 512 Main St., 817-697-7777, <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"Follow nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nikuyarooftop.com\/menu-1\">nikuyarooftop.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Yoichi Omakase<\/p>\n<p>The buzz for Yoichi Omakase &amp; Handroll makes it almost impossible to get into, and that\u2019s a good sign.<\/p>\n<p>The 26-seat omakase-style restaurant at 711 W. Magnolia Ave. is packed almost from the moment it opens at 4:30 p.m. Chefs Ian and Mark Kim and Ilwon Suhr came from Dallas restaurants, and they serve up their best cuts separately or as a chef\u2019s menu of beautifully crafted and presented house specials.<\/p>\n<p>Reviews rank it only behind the sainted Hatsuyuki Handroll Bar; 711 W.
