It appears ice cream shop Salt and Straw and breakfast place PopUp Bagels<\/a> will open on Dallas\u2019 Henderson Avenue, on a block that seems to get more delicious by the day.<\/p>\n

Salt and Straw and PopUp Bagels are advertising new locations next door to one another, sandwiched between Gemma and Local Public Eatery in East Dallas. <\/p>\n

Ask yourself: What other buzzy food brands on Instagram and TikTok could be bigger than side-by-side Salt and Straw and PopUp Bagels? Well, Prince Street Pizza<\/a>, the New York City company with a national expansion plan. It\u2019s already open across the street from the coming-soon S&S and PopUp Bagels, on the north side of Dallas\u2019 Henderson Avenue.<\/p>\n

TikTokker Lauren Louk said she \u201caudibly gasped\u201d<\/a> when she saw the window decals on Henderson Avenue showing off Salt and Straw and PopUp Bagels logos.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s Salt and Straw?\"The<\/p>\n

The founder of West Coast ice cream shop Salt and Straw released a cookbook called “America’s Most Iconic Ice Creams,” featuring recipes like salted, malted chocolate chip cookie dough.<\/p>\n

Salt and Straw originated on the West Coast, in Portland. Flavors are \u201ccuriously delicious,\u201d the website says, and include sea salt with caramel ribbons and chocolate gooey brownie, as well as seasonal recipes like carrot cake ice cream. <\/p>\n

The company recently collaborated with Taco Bell to create its own version of the Choco Taco: cinnamon-ancho ice cream in a waffle cone-shaped taco coated in dark chocolate, called the Tacolate.<\/p>\n

The ice cream shop has announced two restaurants in Dallas-Fort Worth: at 2323 N. Henderson Ave., in Dallas, and 1305 W. Magnolia Ave., in Fort Worth. <\/p>\n

They appear to be the first two Salt and Straw restaurants coming to Texas.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s PopUp Bagels?\"Grip,<\/p>\n

PopUp Bagels is taking a similar approach to Salt and Straw. The company announced on March 24, 2026, it would expand to 12 locations across Texas, with the first in Dallas. <\/p>\n

PopUp\u2019s Dallas debut will be on West Lovers Lane, a spokeswoman confirmed<\/a>, near the historic Inwood Theatre. She didn\u2019t confirm other coming-soon addresses in Texas even though the windows on Henderson Avenue are covered in PopUp Bagels photos.<\/p>\n

The company created a new way to eat bagels, by ripping them and dipping them into cream cheese rather than the usual knife-sliced bagel smeared with schmear.<\/p>\n

PopUp was launched in Connecticut in 2020 by founder Adam Goldberg. The company has already grown to 10 states, and every few days, its Instagram page shows a photo of another coming-soon storefront, from Nashville to West Palm Beach to Chicago.<\/p>\n
