The security guard involved in the controversial incident<\/a> with Chappell Roan and Jude Law\u2019s 11-year-old daughter, Ada, backed up the singer\u2019s account that he\u2019s not part of her personal security.<\/p>\n

Pascal Duvier \u2014 whom the Daily Mail reported<\/a> is the bodyguard that aggressively confronted Ada and her mother, Catherine Harding, at a hotel in S\u00e3o Paolo, Brazil, after Ada walked by Roan\u2019s table \u2014 broke his silence on Instagram <\/a>Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Duvier took full responsibility for the incident with Ada and Harding, but said he was not part of Roan\u2019s security team.<\/p>\n

\u201cI do not normally address online rumors, but the accusations currently circulating are false and constitute defamation,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cI take full responsibility for the interactions on March 21st. I was at the hotel on behalf of another individual, and I was not part of the personal security team of Chappell Roan,\u201d he continued. \u201cThe actions I took were not on behalf of Chappell Roan, her personal security team, her management, or any other individuals.\u201d<\/p>\n

Duvier said that he \u201cmade a judgment call\u201d based on information obtained from the hotel, events he had witnessed in the days prior and the heightened security risk of the location. <\/p>\n

\u201cMy sole interaction with the mother was calm and with good intentions, and the outcome of the encounter is regretful,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

The drama made headlines over the weekend, when Ada\u2019s stepfather, \u00a0Brazilian soccer star Jorginho Frello, blasted Roan on Instagram. Frello claimed Ada simply walked by Roan\u2019s table at the hotel to confirm it was her as she was a fan, but did not approach her or take a picture, before she and her mom were berated by Roan\u2019s \u201clarge\u201d security guard.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy daughter got super scared and cried a lot,\u201d Frello wrote. \u201cHonestly, I don\u2019t know in what world just passing by a table and looking \u2026 can be considered harassment.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWithout your fans you would be nobody,\u201d he also wrote, directly addressing Roan. \u201cAnd to the fans, she does not deserve your affection.\u201d<\/p>\n

Roan responded to the allegations with her own Instagram video and said the security guard was not with her personal security team, and that she was never approached by Ada and Harding. The \u201cPink Pony Club\u201d singer insisted she did not instruct the security official to \u201cgo up and talk\u201d\u00a0to the two.<\/p>\n

\u201cI do not hate children, like, that is crazy,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Harding later shared her side of the story<\/a> and casted doubt that the security guard was not part of Roan\u2019s team, explaining that she knew he wasn\u2019t part of hotel security, but rather someone who \u201clooks after artists.\u201d<\/p>\n

Roan took to Instagram and insisted that the security guard in question was not part of her personal security team and stressed that she did not hate her fans or kids. chappellroan, \/instagram<\/p>\n

But Harding cast doubt on Roan\u2019s claim in her own Instagram video sharing her side of the story, and said Roan was still responsible for people acting on her behalf.<\/p>\n

\u201cDid she send him to do it? Again, I don\u2019t know,\u201d she said. \u201cLook, I would like to hope not, but at the same time, I think that you have a responsibility when you are a celebrity to make sure, I guess, that the people who work for you and act on your behalf are acting on your behalf.\u201d<\/p>\n

Roan, 28, doubled down on her innocence<\/a> in a statement to Page Six Tuesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cChappell holds her own teams to the highest standards,\u201d a rep for the singer told us, adding that the Grammy winner has \u201czero tolerance for aggressive behavior toward her or her fans.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cChappell was not aware of any interaction between this mother\/daughter and a third-party security officer,\u201d the statement continued. \u201cShe did not see them at breakfast in her hotel, as she said in her video. She did not direct her personal security or anyone on her team to interact with them.\u201d<\/p>\n
