Before she was successful in the wrestling ring, Lash Legend<\/a> was a force to be reckoned with in the world of basketball, and opened up about who she might want to recruit from that world in the future.<\/p>\n

Speaking during a recent appearance on the Battleground Podcast, Legend was asked which WNBA star she\u2019d like to recruit to the world of WWE. Legend was quick to point to Teaira McCowan, a player currently playing for Fenerbah\u00e7e of the EuroLeague Women and Turkish Super League, and who previously played for the Dallas Wings from 2022-25.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe played at Mississippi State, and she\u2019s just a stallion, and I feel like everybody would be scared of her,\u201d said Legend. \u201cAnd she\u2019s for real strong, she\u2019s not no lanky center, she would come in here and really dominate.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prior to her time in WWE, Legend was an accomplished basketball player. She played college basketball at both Texas A&M and Mississippi State, the latter of which saw her earn first-team All-SEC honors. In 2019, Legend (real name Anriel Howard) was drafted 24th in the WNBA Draft, and played for the Seattle Storm briefly.<\/p>\n

Now, she and Nia Jax reign as WWE Women\u2019s Tag Team Champions.<\/p>\n
