European fintech firm Revolut plans to have around 40% of its global workforce based in \u200cIndia by the end of 2026 as it expands its India \u200cglobal capability centre.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">The company, which in 2025 committed 500 million pounds ($669.8 million) to its India \u200bbusiness and GCC over five years, said it will fill 1,600 roles in its India centre through 2026, taking its headcount in the country to 5,500 by year-end.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">The new positions will span product development, support functions and financial \u200cservices functions such as \u2060payment processing and fraud investigations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">Revolut currently employs 12,000 people globally.<\/p>\n<p>    <img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/0609094f5bb1e8c4d1b7a28a27a7c456.jpeg\" alt=\"FILE PHOTO: Illustration shows Revolut logo\" loading=\"eager\" height=\"533\" width=\"800\" class=\"yf-lglytj  loaded\"\/> FILE PHOTO: Illustration shows Revolut logo      <\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">Global capability centers in India, once seen as low-cost outsourcing \u2060hubs, now handle operations, finance, research and development for their parent corporations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">Jonathan Beaney, Revolut&#8217;s head of talent acquisition, called India one of the &#8220;deepest and most dynamic \u200btalent pools \u200bin the world&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">&#8220;Our India tech hub \u200bis central to our global \u200cscale&#8230; the technical caliber, ambition and excellence we see here make India a natural long-term home for Revolut,&#8221; Beaney said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">The GCC expansion is, however, separate from Revolut&#8217;s India business.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">India CEO Paroma Chatterjee told Reuters that about a third of Revolut&#8217;s processes are now run from India, including work on \u200croutine transaction monitoring and AI-based alerts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">&#8220;Things made \u200bvisible using the India tech stack, like video \u200bKYC &#8211; more intelligence came in \u200bfrom the India GCC to share that knowledge overseas \u200cto try to implement it in \u200bother markets to \u200bhave tighter onboarding,&#8221; Chatterjee said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">Revolut, founded in 2015, is one of Europe&#8217;s leading fintech companies with a $75 billion valuation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">In India, the company is \u200bauthorised to issue prepaid \u200cpayment instruments and aims to launch its product next quarter, \u200bthe company said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">($1 = 0.7465 pounds)<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">(Reporting by Haripriya Suresh \u200bin Bengaluru;
