Project Hail Mary<\/a> star Ryan Gosling<\/a> has accepted Deidre Hall<\/a>\u2018s invitation to visit the Days of Our Lives<\/a> set after praising her and her fellow soap stars for their tireless work.<\/p>\n

Gosling spoke highly of Hall during a recent appearance on Josh Horowitz\u2019s Happy Sad Confused<\/a> podcast, specifically highlighting her acting in a 1995 storyline in which she was possessed by the devil. Hall responded to the praise on Thursday (March 26) and invited Gosling and Horowitz to stop by the Days set.<\/p>\n

Hall, who has played Marlena Evans on\u00a0Days\u00a0since 1976, said she and her castmates listened to the podcast while in the dressing room and \u201cwe\u2019re just thrilled to be acknowledged and to be so well spoken of because we work really hard, as you acknowledged.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe think it would be nice if you wanted to come over and see what we do in our neck of the woods,\u201d the soap veteran continued. \u201cSo this is an open invitation to visit the\u00a0Days of Our Lives\u00a0set. Nobody will be possessed. And if they are, I\u2019ll keep an eye on you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gosling has since responded to Hall\u2019s offer, saying in his own Instagram video, \u201cDeidre Hall?! Are you kidding me? Yes! This is a very enthusiastic yes to a very cordial invitation to visit you on set.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cI will be there to thank you in person for being my OG acting inspiration. It wasn\u2019t Marlon Brando<\/a> in On The Waterfront<\/a>, it wasn\u2019t De Niro<\/a> in Taxi Driver<\/a>, it was you.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Notebook<\/a> actor again thanked Hall for her offer, saying, \u201cAny time, anywhere, you tell me, and I\u2019ll be there.\u201d He also thanked Horowitz for helping make this happen, describing him as a \u201cmagical guy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not worried about the possession,\u201d Gosling joked at the end of the video. \u201cI\u2019ll say a Hail Mary before I get there. I\u2019ll be fine. And I\u2019ll see you on set!\u201d<\/p>\n

The invitation came after Gosling revealed that Days was one of his favorite shows growing up. During the discussion, he told Horowitz that soap actors \u201cdo not get the love they deserve.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe amount they have to memorize the night before, like, 10 pages of dialogue,\u201d he stated. \u201cThey get one take, and it\u2019s impossible scenarios, like when Marlena, Deidre Hall\u2026 gets possessed. This is right around when\u00a0X Files\u00a0was a big deal, right? Suddenly, everything got supernatural. She was possessed by the devil. So Deidre Hall has to suddenly, after playing just a normal person, then she\u2019s [not].\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s just say, it was an incredible acting class,\u201d he added. \u201cWhat\u2019s amazing is I remember that, thinking, \u2018God, Deidre Hall is a great actress because she\u2019s having to act possessed right now. That just seems like a lot to ask of her.\u201d<\/p>\n
