The incident happened around 6 a.m. near 35th Avenue and Thunderbird Road.<\/p>\n

PHOENIX \u2014 A woman was stabbed in north Phoenix on Friday morning and has serious injuries, according to the city’s police department.<\/p>\n

Around 6 a.m., officers were called to a stabbing near 35th Avenue and Thunderbird Road. Upon arrival, police contacted a woman with at least one gunshot wound.<\/p>\n

The woman was taken to a nearby hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n

Police said the scene is expected to be shut down for a period of time as detectives investigate.<\/p>\n

How the woman was stabbed or if there are any suspects is unknown at this time.<\/p>\n
