Philadelphia<\/a> police have released images of a second suspect sought in connection to the mass shooting in South Philadelphia<\/a> where eight people were injured<\/a> at a restaurant earlier this month. <\/p>\n

The second suspected shooter is a heavy-set man spotted wearing a white t-shirt, blue sweatpants, light gray sneakers and a large gold chain with a charm at the time of the attack, police said. <\/p>\n

The shooting occurred at around 3:53 a.m. on July 5, 2025, at the 7 Elements restaurant, bar and lounge on Washington Avenue.<\/p>\n

Police previously arrested a security guard<\/a> working that night at the restaurant, 43-year-old Michael Welton, and charged him with attempted murder, aggravated assault, possessing an instrument of crime and recklessly endangering another person.<\/p>\n

Police said an argument occurred at the business shortly before 4 a.m. that morning which escalated into a fight involving knives. As security guards tried to intervene, at least one person pulled out a gun and opened fire. One of the security guards also pulled out a weapon and fired, police said.<\/p>\n

Eight people — including a security guard — were shot. All of the victims were listed in stable condition and expected to survive.<\/p>\n
