According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/my.clevelandclinic.org\/health\/diseases\/6212-acute-myeloid-leukemia-aml\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Cleveland Clinic;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link rapid-noclick-resp\">Cleveland Clinic<\/a>, AML &#8220;is a rare cancer that affects your bone marrow and blood. So, now they\u2019ve had to do an application to NHS England as an individual request for me to have a second stem cell transplant.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019ve told us that obviously they don\u2019t know whether it\u2019s going to come through or not,&#8221; Hinitt explained through tears. &#8220;We need to try and raise money and we need to raise \u00a3100,000 in order for me to be able to have a second stem cell transplant. There is the chance that they could say yes, there&#8217;s the chance that they could say no. I never thought I\u2019d ever be in a position where I\u2019d have to ask for help for lifesaving treatment. #cancersucks #gofundme #cancer #nhs.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Since uploading the video online which included a link to Hintt&#8217;s GoFundMe , it has racked up 1.8 million views, with kindhearted strangers donating to help her get the second transplant.<\/p>\n<p>Almost overnight, the public rallied together and helped Hinitt hit her fundraising goal of \u00a3100,000 ($133,000), with the total now at over \u00a3147,000 ($195,000).<\/p>\n<p>The next day, on March 20, she made <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/faithhinitt\/reel\/DWHa0cfjPW8\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:another video;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link rapid-noclick-resp\">another video<\/a> from her hospital bed giving a \u201cmassive thank you\u201d to everyone for their \u201ckindness and generosity,&#8221; adding that she was &#8220;overwhelmed.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Hinitt said she has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DWW6kVIIxd5\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:not left her room;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link rapid-noclick-resp\">not left her room<\/a> at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield since she was admitted over four weeks ago, due to her fragile health.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis time yesterday, in my head, I was going to have to sell my house in order to have the treatment that I need to hopefully save my life because I\u2019ve not earned in the last two-and-a-half years,\u201d she said in the clip.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve been having treatment on and off, so I wouldn\u2019t be able to remortgage my house, apply for a loan, it really was like, what are we going to do? I just can\u2019t believe the level of support and donations over the last 24 hours.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hinitt said that because she has shown her consultant that she has the funds for the second stem cell transplant, they are able to get the \u201cball rolling.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She said that they have taken her dad\u2019s blood as he is her potential stem cell donor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn four weeks time, I should be having my second stem cell transplant and that\u2019s all thanks to everyone sharing and donating. I just can\u2019t believe it,\u201d Hinitt added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s not often I\u2019m shocked for words; everyone knows I\u2019m a talker, but I am so shocked and I just can\u2019t believe the love, the support, the kindness and the generosity of everyone supporting me over the last 24 hours. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hinitt is now also trying to raise awareness of the NHS\u2019s guidelines, telling British news channel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.itv.com\/watch\/news\/crowdfund-gives-faith-second-chance-at-life-after-nhs-refuses-stem-cell-treatment\/xbknxzc\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:ITV;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link rapid-noclick-resp\">ITV<\/a>, \u201cYou can\u2019t compare so many different cases with this one guideline.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe thought of other people in the country having to go through what we had this week is why I\u2019m having this conversation with you now.
