The company<a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/aws-preps-staff-customer-questions-tariffs-trump-cloud-restrictions-2025-4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> reportedly prepared<\/a> staff to address questions from customers about international bans, instructing them to say that \u201cin the theoretical case that such sanctions ever came to pass, [Amazon\u2019s cloud unit] would do everything practically possible to provide continuity of service.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Several experts are asking what power U.S. companies would have to resist the White House. \u201cIf that political dimension turns hostile, how credible is it that companies with the best intentions can challenge their president?\u201d Cristina Caffarra, a tech and competition economist and honorary professor at University College London, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.eu\/tech-summit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told POLITICO<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/icc-trump-sanctions-karim-khan-court-a4b4c02751ab84c09718b1b95cbd5db3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> that the chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court Karim Khan in May <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.eu\/article\/microsoft-did-not-cut-services-international-criminal-court-president-american-sanctions-trump-tech-icc-amazon-google\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">had access to his Microsoft-hosted email cut<\/a> after U.S. sanctions over the arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has further raised concerns.
