Arlington Heights scores early, holds off Paschal<\/p>\n

Fort Worth Arlington Heights scored 3 times in the bottom of the second inning and made it hold up as the Yellow Jackets slipped past Fort Worth Paschal 3-2 in a District 7-5A game on Friday at Arlington Heights High School.<\/p>\n

Arlngton Heights (8-10-2 overall, 5-1 district) moved into a tie for first place in district with the win. Ben Harris singled with one out in the third and Adrian Tristan followed with a walk.<\/p>\n

With two outs in the third, Jayden Lee tripled to center to score Harris and Tristan. Lee scored shortly after on a wild pitch to make it 3-0 Heights.<\/p>\n

Paschal (16-3, 5-1) rallied in the top of the fourth when Simon Pate drilled a hard grounder past second to score John McInnis, running for Griffin Lee who had singled, and Sebastian Piria who had doubled cutting the lead to 3-2.<\/p>\n

Roy Perez went the distance for Arlington Heights scattering 4 hits and allowing 2 runs, both earned, with 7 strikeouts and 1 walk. Owen Settle pitched well for the Panthers allowing only 3 hits and 3 earned runs while striking out 13 and walking 1.<\/p>\n
