North Texans are set to take to the streets Saturday across several cities in the Dallas-Fort Worth area<\/a> for a for the third round of No Kings protests. <\/p>\n

The demonstrations, organized by the nonprofit Indivisible and several partner organizations, are meant to express opposition to the Trump administration\u2019s current policies<\/a>, according to the No Kings website. Organizers are expecting millions to show up to the protests across the country, The Associated Press reported<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The first No Kings protests in June last year <\/a>drew thousands to Dallas-Fort Worth streets and millions nationwide. In the fall, thousands of people in Dallas<\/a> rallied in the second round protests. <\/p>\n

A resident of the Frisco Lakes retirement community where many neighbors support former President Donald Trump, she said recent ICE enforcement tactics prompted her to attend.<\/p>\n

\u201cICE agents going around in masks and breaking into people\u2019s homes \u2014 that\u2019s just not American to me,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

9:45 a.m.: No Kings rallies begin in North Texas as dozens protest in Frisco <\/b><\/p>\n

Dozens of protesters lined both sides of FM 423 at Old Newman Road in Frisco to protest the Trump administration as part of the third nationwide No Kings protest Saturday.<\/p>\n

Derrell Everette, a Little Elm, resident hooted as he held a sign protesting the administration\u2019s tariffs. Everette, 57, who is a veteran of Operation Desert Storm, said the war in Iran motivated him to attend the No Kings protest. He said that Trump\u2019s decision to deploy troops to the region escalated the conflict.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeing a veteran, this is not what I fought for,\u201d Everette said. \u201cIt\u2019s not going to end well.\u201d<\/p>\n

Attendees at the Frisco rally waved American flags, chanted slogans such as \u201cNo ICE, No War, No Kings\u201d and blew bubbles as cars driving by honked in support.<\/p>\n
