PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania (WPVI) — It’s a little something sweet for those who stand on the front lines.<\/p>\n

In over a decade, the ‘Cookies for Cops’ campaign has grown from a few trays of cookies to a conglomerate of countless confections.<\/p>\n

It’s all organized by the Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #5 Auxiliary<\/a>, led by president Donna Giulian.<\/p>\n

This year, 18 local bakeries donated heaping pounds of cookies. To give back, the FOP purchased an amount that matched each business’ donation.<\/p>\n

Their goal is to distribute cookie trays to every police district across the city between today and Monday.<\/p>\n

Apart from cookie donations, the Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #5 is known for supporting families of injured or fallen police officers.<\/p>\n
