A man was arrested on Wednesday after police and agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives swarmed a Brentwood home.<\/p>\n
Law enforcement officials alarmed neighbors along Rockingham Avenue and Sunset Boulevard earlier Wednesday as they arrived to arrest a man accused of impersonating a firefighter during the middle of the Palisades Fire. The Los Angeles Fire Department said the incident occurred on Jan. 16.<\/p>\n
Now, the Brentwood resident is facing at least a dozen charges, some for incidents dating back to 2023 and as recent as May of this year. The individual was taken into custody without incident.<\/p>\n
LAFD confirmed that an illegitimate firetruck tried to enter the fire zone during the height of the battle against the Palisades Fire earlier this year. Neighbors said a firetruck from the 80s had been parked at the residence for quite some time.<\/p>\n
In January, two people were suspected of trying to enter a checkpoint limited to emergency crews. It\u2019s unclear if that case is connected with the arrest in Brentwood.<\/p>\n
The Brentwood man is being held without bail.
