{"id":691667,"date":"2026-03-30T04:32:18","date_gmt":"2026-03-30T04:32:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/691667\/"},"modified":"2026-03-30T04:32:18","modified_gmt":"2026-03-30T04:32:18","slug":"uconn-ucla-punch-tickets-to-womens-final-four-in-phoenix","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/691667\/","title":{"rendered":"UConn, UCLA punch tickets to Women&#8217;s Final Four in Phoenix"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The UConn and UCLA women\u2019s basketball teams punched their tickets to the Women\u2019s Final Four in Phoenix after wins in the <a href=\"https:\/\/arizonasports.com\/general-news\/phoenix-final-four-on-the-line\/3616013\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Elite Eight<\/a> on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>No. 1 UConn won its Elite Eight matchup against Notre Dame 70-52. UConn was led by Sarah Strong, who led the undefeated Huskies\u2019 scoring with 21 points, while registering seven rebounds, five steals, three blocks and an assist, while Blanca Qui\u00f1onez added 20 points in the win.<\/p>\n<p>The Huskies, who are the defending champions, have now won 54 consecutive games and have reached their 25th Final Four, all under head coach Geno Auriemma.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, No. 1 UCLA booked its Final Four trip with a 70-58 win over No. 3 Duke. Lauren Betts stood out for the Bruins, scoring 23 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, with five blocks and three assists in the win.<\/p>\n<p>The Bruins earned their first-ever appearance in the Final Four and are two wins away from their first national title in program history.<\/p>\n<p>UCLA will face the winner of No. 1 Texas and No. 2 Michigan, which will tip off at 4 p.m. MST on Monday.
