He was 42. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tDuong\u2019s death was announced via a <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gofundme.com\/f\/aid-alexs-journey-to-regain-sight?modal=updates\">GoFundMe page<\/a>. The page was set up in February 2025 to help the actor pay for medical expenses as he fought alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of soft tissue cancer that affected his sight. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cWith the heaviest hearts, we share that our dear Alex passed away peacefully this morning, surrounded by love and dear friends,\u201d read an update post from the GoFundMe page. \u201cHe was comfortable and thankfully out of pain. [His wife] Christina and [daughter] Everest were able to see him last night, and he was alert enough to say goodbye to his little girl, whom he has treasured every moment since the day she was born. We are devastated, but so grateful for the support, prayers, and generosity you have all shown during this unimaginable time. Your continued support now means everything as Christina and Everest navigate the days ahead and to arrange a beautiful celebration of his life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAlong with \u201cBlue Bloods,\u201d Duong\u2019s other TV credits include \u201cEverybody Hates Chris,\u201d \u201cMad TV,\u201d \u201cDexter,\u201d \u201cInterns Anonymous,\u201d \u201cDeath Valley\u201d and \u201cThe Young and the Restless.\u201d On the film side, Duong appeared in \u201cFormosa Betrayed,\u201d \u201cGhetto Physics,\u201d \u201cThe Beyond\u201d and \u201cSideways for Attention.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tLast August, the Largo in Los Angeles hosted \u201cThe Alex Duong Has Cancer In His Eye Comedy Benefit Show,\u201d which featured comedians like <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/ronny-chieng\/\" id=\"auto-tag_ronny-chieng\" data-tag=\"ronny-chieng\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ronny Chieng<\/a>, Andrea Jin and Atusko Okatsuka.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cComedians always have each other\u2019s backs when times are shit,\u201d Duong told the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/entertainment-arts\/story\/2025-04-15\/facing-cancer-and-blindness-las-alex-duong-fights-to-keep-his-sight-and-stand-up-spirit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">LA Times in a 2025 profile<\/a>. \u201cWe know how hard it is to pine and struggle and scrape by in this lifestyle, just so we can do these jokes and keep improving.
