HOUSTON<\/strong> \u2013 A United Express flight bound for Houston made an emergency landing in Mississippi on Monday after one of its engines shut down, according to the airline.<\/p>\n

CommuteAir flight 4302<\/a>, operating as United Express, was traveling from Knoxville, Tennessee, to George Bush Intercontinental Airport <\/a>in Houston when the issue occurred, a company spokesperson said.<\/p>\n

The aircraft diverted to Jackson, Mississippi, and landed safely.<\/p>\n

The plane taxied to the gate under its own power, and passengers deplaned normally, according to a statement from CommuteAir.<\/p>\n

The aircraft taxied to the gate under its own power, where passengers deplaned normally.
