NEW YORK (PIX11) \u2014 A New York City man was indicted for allegedly shoving two victims onto the tracks of an Upper East Side subway station in an unprovoked attack, the Manhattan District Attorney, Alvin Bragg, announced on Monday.\u00a0 One of the individuals was killed as a result of the push.<\/p>\n

On March 8th, at 11:39 a.m., Bairon Hernandez, 34, walked past a 30-year-old man on the platform in the Lexington Ave. and 63rd Street subway station. Hernandez allegedly shoved the victim onto the tracks, where he landed on his knees and injured his shoulder, according to D.A. Bragg.<\/p>\n

The second victim, Richard Williams, 83, was innocently walking on the platform with a cane. Hernandez forcibly pushed Williams from behind, and he landed onto the tracks, according to court documents.<\/p>\n

Williams landed on his face and suffered a brain hemorrhage. He died from his injuries on March 17th.<\/p>\n

\u201cTwo New Yorkers were waiting for the subway on a Sunday morning when they were shoved into the tracks, allegedly by Bairon Hernandez. He used such force that he killed Richard Williams, an 83-year-old veteran,\u201d said District Attorney Bragg. \u201cI hope the survivor continues to heal from this abhorrent assault, and my thoughts are with the loved ones of Mr. Williams, who are mourning his tragic loss.\u201d<\/p>\n
