SAN ANTONIO<\/strong> \u2013 This is not a drill or an April Fool\u2019s joke: Burger Boy\u2019s original St. Mary\u2019s Street location will reopen on Wednesday, April 1.<\/p>\n

The restaurant has been closed since Aug. 22, 2025<\/a>, due to a kitchen fire that spread to its attic and caused \u201cmoderate\u201d damage.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is NOT an early April Fools joke, we\u2019re officially back!\u201d a Facebook post<\/a> reads.<\/p>\n

The reopening is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at 2323 N. St. Mary\u2019s St.<\/p>\n

The first 10 drive-thru customers and the first 10 walk-up customers will each receive a free $50 gift card. The restaurant will also give out free cookies and merchandise while supplies last.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re beyond excited to be back and can\u2019t wait to serve you again,\u201d the post continues. \u201cSee you there.\u201d <\/p>\n

The burger joint north of downtown was fenced off for months following the fire, but the San Antonio-based chain has been working to restore the site.<\/p>\n

According to a December 2025 Instagram post<\/a>, the restaurant said the original location will return \u201cstronger, fresher, and ready to serve San Antonio again.\u201d<\/p>\n

The December post also expressed the restaurant\u2019s gratitude for the support during its temporary closure.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe want to thank everyone for the outpouring of support, patience, and love you\u2019ve shown us during this time \u2014 it truly means everything to the Burger Boy family,\u201d the post read. <\/p>\n
