Los Angeles Fire Department hazardous materials specialists Tuesday were investigating some kind of substance found at a downtown Los Angles police technical facility.<\/p>\n
Firefighters were called about 6:25 a.m. to the Los Angeles Police Department\u2019s Erwin Piper Technical Center at 555 E. Ramirez Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.<\/p>\n
Two people assessed at the scene refused hospital transport, said fire department spokeswoman Lyndsey Lantz, who said the city department of transportation was assisting in the cleanup.<\/p>\n
