Trail-cam footage captured in Canada\u2019s Yukon Territory reveals the extraordinary leaping ability of the Canada lynx.<\/p>\n

\u201cLooking for an evening meal, a Canada lynx effortlessly leaps ~ 8 feet in pursuit of a squirrel,\u201d David Troup of Yukon Wildlife Cams stated Tuesday via Facebook<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Canada lynx are secretive forest dwellers and rarely encountered by humans, but they are not shy around Troup’s motion-sensor cameras.<\/p>\n

According to the Canadian Wildlife Federation<\/a>, lynx subsist largely on snowshoe hares. But they also prey on squirrels, grouse, voles, mice, and foxes.<\/p>\n
