Chris \u201cMad Dog\u201d Russo didn\u2019t hold back on where he placed some of the blame for Tiger Woods\u2019 DUI arrest after his latest car crash.<\/p>\n

Russo took aim at Woods\u2019 tight circle of friends \u2014 including one in particular \u2014 and wondered where they had been as the 15-time major champion appears to be dealing with issues with painkillers and now a fourth incident involving a vehicle.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019m going to blame the golf people here too,\u2019 Russo said during ESPN\u2019s \u201cFirst Take\u201d on Wednesday. \u2018[PGA star] Justin Thomas is his best friend. A lot of these golfers, you know, \u201cI adore Tiger.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2018How about somebody in the last 15 years say, \u201cTiger, enough of this nonsense.\u201d\u2018 OK, instead of genuflecting in front of Tiger, because he\u2019s an all-time great golfer, and you don\u2019t want to get on Tiger\u2019s bad side, how about somebody in the sport in the last 10 years put a stop to this, take the keys away?\u201d<\/p>\n

The 50-year-old Woods was arrested Friday after rolling over his SUV near his Jupiter. Fla. home<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Police said he was \u201csweating profusely\u201d and looked \u201clethargic and slow\u201d in his movements at times. Woods was traveling at \u201chigh speeds\u201d and was found with two hydrocodone pills<\/a>, according to the police report.<\/p>\n

The golf legend\u2019s breathalyzer test was negative, but he refused to take a urine test and he has since pleaded not guilty to the DUI charge. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s also been announced that Woods will not be playing in the upcoming Masters or serve as U.S. Ryder Cup captain in 2027<\/a> as he steps away to \u201cseek treatment and focus on my health.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

He will get to do that outside the U.S. as a judge granted his request to seek \u201ccomprehensive inpatient treatment\u201d out of the country<\/a>, citing privacy reasons. This was Woods\u2019 first major car accident since 2021, which led to multiple leg injuries that nearly ended his career.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst Take\u201d star Stephen A. Smith questioned why Woods is even driving himself anywhere at this point, saying he must have a \u201cvery highly suspect life if you, as a billionaire, don\u2019t even want to hire a driver.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u00a0Russo said he doesn\u2019t want whatever issues Woods is dealing with to lead to worse things in future.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThe next funeral is going to be his or somebody else\u2019s that we\u2019re going to have to go to,\u2019 Russo added. \u2018He\u2019s lucky [he] didn\u2019t kill somebody here.\u2019<\/p>\n

The golf world remains very supportive of Woods and his aim to get the help he needs.<\/p>\n
