SAN ANTONIO<\/strong> \u2013 The reopening of the original Burger Boy restaurant on April Fool\u2019s Day was no joke. <\/p>\n

The beloved burger joint celebrated its grand reopening on Wednesday after a monthslong closure prompted by a kitchen fire<\/a> that forced the business to rebuild. <\/p>\n

The restaurant, located at 2323 N. St Mary\u2019s St., was fenced off for months following the fire. <\/p>\n

According to a December 2025 Instagram post<\/a>, the restaurant said the original location would return \u201cstronger, fresher, and ready to serve San Antonio again.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, hungry customers lined up to welcome the San Antonio staple back to the St. Mary\u2019s Strip. <\/p>\n

The reopening also brought some notable upgrades. The restaurant now features a new pickup window for customers and an expanded interior to better serve customers. <\/p>\n

Eric Montez, who holds the restaurant in high regard, was among those excited that the restaurant was back in business.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that Burger Boy is one of the best burgers in Texas \u2014 better than Whataburger,\u201d Montez said. \u201cI\u2019m just going to eat this as much as I can, and I hope my wife doesn\u2019t mind if I gain a little weight.\u201d<\/p>\n

The excitement isn\u2019t one-sided. The restaurant owners are just as thrilled about the return of its original location. <\/p>\n
