St Mary\u2019s St., was fenced off for months following the fire. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">According to a December 2025 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ksat.com\/news\/local\/2025\/12\/08\/original-burger-boy-restaurant-to-reopen-in-early-2026-after-kitchen-fire\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.ksat.com\/news\/local\/2025\/12\/08\/original-burger-boy-restaurant-to-reopen-in-early-2026-after-kitchen-fire\/\">Instagram post<\/a>, the restaurant said the original location would return \u201cstronger, fresher, and ready to serve San Antonio again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">On Wednesday, hungry customers lined up to welcome the San Antonio staple back to the St. Mary\u2019s Strip. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">The reopening also brought some notable upgrades. The restaurant now features a new pickup window for customers and an expanded interior to better serve customers. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Eric Montez, who holds the restaurant in high regard, was among those excited that the restaurant was back in business.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">\u201cI think that Burger Boy is one of the best burgers in Texas \u2014 better than Whataburger,\u201d Montez said. \u201cI\u2019m just going to eat this as much as I can, and I hope my wife doesn\u2019t mind if I gain a little weight.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">The excitement isn\u2019t one-sided.
