PHOENIX \u2013 A pavement improvement project is underway along the primary highway route between Phoenix and Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

Worn asphalt is being replaced along 13 miles of US 93 northwest of Wickenburg, according to<\/a> the Arizona Department of Transportation.<\/p>\n

Most of the work on the $27.5 million project will be done overnight Mondays-Fridays. However, the effort will require some daytime and weekend highway restrictions.<\/p>\n

ADOT will post road restriction notices on the project\u2019s webpage<\/a>.<\/p>\n

At times, US 93 will be reduced to just one lane, with traffic led by pilot cars getting through the work zone in alternating directions. Flaggers will stop motorists as they wait their turn.<\/p>\n

When will US 93 pavement project be completed?<\/p>\n

Plans call for the work to be finished in spring 2026. The project area runs from Moore Ranch Road (about 15 miles from Wickenburg) at milepost 185 to milepost 172.<\/p>\n

In addition to the asphalt work, crews will replace guardrails and end terminals, repair a bridge deck and install new pavement markings.<\/p>\n
