The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office says two people were hurt and one person was ticketed after a crash Thursday at Chicago Road and West Sandwich Road, north of Sandwich.<\/p>\n
Police say a 16-year-old from Waterman was driving a Ford Edge north on West Sandwich Road and failed to yield to an eastbound GMC Acadia driven by a 42-year-old from DeKalb on Chicago Road. The driver of the Acadia tried to brake but could not stop in time.<\/p>\n
Both drivers were taken to a hospital with minor injuries. The 16-year-old was ticketed for failure to yield at a stop sign. The crash happened at about 9:30 a.m.<\/p>\n
